Black Bark Maple Syrup - Menahga, Minnesota

How does one capture the pure deliciousness of Anthony Peeters Black Bark Maple Syrup? You pair it with Pannu Kakku - a traditional Finnish oven-baked pancake, of course!

Black Bark Maple Syrup is the purest form of syrup, with no additives or fillers. Syrup is made by collecting sap in the Spring when the temperatures are high enough to thaw during the day but cold enough to freeze at night, creating the perfect conditions to get those maple taps running. It is then boiled down to create syrup, filtered and bottled for all of us to enjoy, whether that’s smothering our pancakes or french toast in its sweetness or adding it to our morning coffee. It also serves as an excellent substitute for processed sugar in baked goods.

Peeters’s syrup operation is based out of Menahga, Minnesota, which is also home to a high Finnish-American population. What better way to highlight this MN made product by pairing it with a traditional Finnish delight - pannu kakku, a thick oven-baked pancake with a custard-like interior. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t hard to not eat up all this deliciousness before the session was complete. But I think we did it!

Why are high-quality product photos important for your business?

  1. They captivate the target audience, influencing consumes’ first impression.

This makes product photos extremely important, useful and effective in all facets of your marketing. Consistent, clean and authentic images of your products will not only impress potential buyers, but also keep them sticking around for more. They are an important part of your consumers’ initial judgements and, in this primary visual world, they serve as a window into your business.

  2. They build trust from the start.

Once your photos have captured the attention of your audience they help them along on their decision-making process. Crisp, accurate imagery instantaneously boosts your professional image and credibility demonstrating you are a reliable, trusting company with quality products. And when you invest in product photography you can let them to do the talking for you. When you have trust in your business, your conversion and retention rate is often higher.

  3. They separate you from the competition.

The quality of the photography you invest in to showcase your products will help increase perceived value, distinguishing your products from those of your competitors. This is especially important if you are in a competitive market and selling products at a similar price. Poor-quality product photography decreases value and trust, driving buyers to other sellers.

  4. They inform and engage consumers.

I cannot emphasis enough the importance of accurate product photography and its role in informing and engaging potential buyers. We live in a digital and fast-paced world where powerful wording or messaging doesn’t always reach your target audience. The quicker you are able to accurately describe your products, even if it’s visually, the easier it is to capture engagement. And high-quality product photos often speak for you. They not only help sell your products but also your brand. It’s all about authentic connection between you and your target market.

  5. They rank higher on some search engines.

Yes, this is true. Some search engines are able to filter the quality of images you upload. If your images are high quality, it will often result in ranking higher on search engines. Investing in professional, high-quality photography is one way to combat the ever changing algorithms of the World Wide Web. Which is why I insert SEO metadata into you images, increasing your chance of being discovered online and reaching a high number of potential buyers.
